I love to run. I love yoga and pilates.

But most of all, I love words. How words are used to communicate not just the literal but also the metaphorical, the lyrical, the emotional.

My undergraduate degree is in Spanish Philology (from Ancient Greek φιλολογία (philología) 'love of word'). At the University of Havana, Cuba, I studied the intersection of textual criticism, literary criticism, history, and linguistics with strong ties to etymology.

I also have a masters degree in Latin from the University of Turin, Italy.
